AboutBook1 copy.png

It was all a mess and Erin Fischer found himself right in the middle of the chaos. He had come to San Diego to escape his own horrors and found himself trapped in another escapade just as bad. No, it was worse. He found himself in a god-awful muddle; two horrible relationships twisting around him. They dipped and tangled until he was no longer sure . . . if they really were two different problems . . . nor how it had become his job to detangle them.

Gabrelle , no, Jane Gabrelle Briggs . . . was at the top of his list of things to figure out. Who was she? Was she the casual fling his twin brother claimed her to be? He did not think so. One look at her and the boy . . . the boy . . . yes, that was the beginning of where Erin felt his heart pull away from what his eyes saw, pull away from what his brain logically took in and concluded.

The boy, Trent . . . could have been his. Should have been his. The boy’s mother would do anything . . . anything for her son. But did anything include stripping, exotic dancing, being a mule for some very bad people. Yes, for the boy, she would.

But did she? Had she? Was she involved? He had to find out. She brought out strange feeling in him. Haunting memories and almost forgotten feelings.

Memories of a time long ago. He had never given reincarnation a moment’s consideration. But these people, the Gypsies, her chosen family . . . it was as if he knew them. It was as if they had done . . . all this once before . . . and he remembered it. That time, she died and it had almost killed him.

This time, he had to save her. But from who?

She had been in a horrible accident, almost every bone in her body broken from the cars striking her. She was told it had taken a year to put her back together, to heal. As her body healed she had been in a deep coma. It was miraculous she had awoken, but she woke with no memories from her life before the accident. No memory of who she was or where she came from; just a lost year. No one had stepped forward looking for her. No family. Not one friend. Not even an employer. The police thought her a prostitute. That is what the driver’s license she carried said. The large sum of money found on her furthered the image that she was from the wrong side of the law. But it just felt . . . wrong. She didn’t even know how to drive. How could she have a license? Who was she? Did she belong anywhere… nowhere?

Hypnosis seemed a viable option to loosen her secrets. But no one was prepared for what it evoked. She remembered her accident . . . the stark cold from the iceberg. It made no sense. Her accident was on a hot clammy day. She cried out as she could hear people screaming that they needed help. The Titanic was . . . sinking!

She thrashed about. She needed to wake up now! She did not want to live that again.

Becca Kaye is the oldest of four children. Her traveling heart has lived all over the United States and she has visited each of the fifty states at least one time. Becca Kaye has a mystique about her. She is a true Gemini, which means she can be the 'hermit introvert' or the 'flashy exuberant extrovert' who can talk endlessly to strangers. Yesterday calls to her. Old things intrigue her. Crystals want to go home with her. With a look into her dark eyes; she can make a person feel like she can look into their soul. If she looks deep enough you wonder if she can pull your secrets out into the light.

She has been writing for many years and spent hours alone at her computer as the stories unfolded in front of her eyes. ‘Whispers from the Light’ is Becca Kaye’s first completed story. As she placed her hands upon the computer keys and the story came . . . she was intrigued and entertained. She discovered Alisha Baxter flashing across her screen as her fingers flew across the keys . . . and this tale was revealed.

Coming soon will be the other stories that are waiting their turn to escape.
